Build An Executive Summary Generator
Summarize long PDFs or text to save your team time. This use case we will create an app to use to generate an Executive Summary that generates a professionally formatted executive summary from text or a PDF that you have uploaded to the App.
Step 1
Log In, Navigate To The Workshop, And Add The App
In this step, we will log into the platform, navigate to teh workshop and create an app to run this generator. We will build this generator step by step. At the end of this turtorial, your team will have a new app to help generate an executive summary from long PDFs or text.
Create the new agent
- Log into the AI platform
- Click on “Workshop” at the top menu
- Select “New”
- Then select “App” from the dropdown menu.
This will prompt the creation of a new, blank, app to build from scratch.
Step 2
Create 4 New User Inputs
In this step, we will be creating the app characteristics, such as name, the upload field, the paragraph output desire, the target audience, and the desired summary length.
Enter the agent information:
For each of the Agent Inputs below:
- Click “Create New Input +”
- Select the option in the Field column
- Then enter the option in the Value / Notes column above.

Insert Inputs Into Instructions
Add inputs
Certain parts of our instructions need to have the input we created earlier inserted into them. To do this, we click where the input should go, and then we click on the input under “User Inputs”.

After doing this, the instructions should look like this with the placeholders filled in.

Publish App
Publish the app for use
- Click the purple “Publish App” button
- Enter a Title for your app
- Then hit “Publish App” again.
